Micronutrients
Small values - big impact!
Micronutrients such as vitamins, minerals and trace elements are essential for all metabolic processes in the body. A deficiency often goes unnoticed for a long time, but can lead to tiredness, a drop in performance, susceptibility to infections or mood swings.
Our laboratory analysis gives you clarity: Which micronutrients are you deficient in and which are in excess - and what does this mean for your health and your training?

Which micronutrients do we analyse?
In our practice, we specifically analyse the values that are medically relevant and useful for sport - including
Vitamin D3 - Important for the immune system, bones, hormone balance
Vitamin B12 & folic acid - Central for energy, nerves & haematopoiesis
Magnesium, zinc, selenium - influence regeneration, muscle strength, immune protection
Ferritin (iron storage) - Significant for endurance, oxygen transport & fatigue
Copper, manganese, chromium - Rarely determined, but can be used specifically for symptoms or complaints
Calcium, phosphate - Important for bone metabolism and muscle work
Each analysis is individually customised to your question, symptoms and sporting exertion.

Micronutrients & sport: what you need to know
Sporting stress increases the consumption of certain micronutrients. Particularly affected are
Vitamin D & Magnesium → for intensive muscle work
Zinc & Selenium → with increased immune stress or frequent infections
B12 & folic acid → For exhaustion, concentration problems or a vegan diet
Iron (ferritin) → for endurance sports, women with menstrual bleeding or fatigue
Without targeted analysis, individualised control is hardly possible - too much supplementation can even be harmful.

Frequently asked questions
Our practice focuses on your health and well-being.

Why are micronutrients so important?
Because they are involved in almost all bodily functions - from energy production and cell protection to muscle work and hormone function.
What symptoms can indicate a deficiency?
Tiredness, susceptibility to infections, concentration problems, hair loss, sleep disorders, nervousness or reduced performance.
When does a blood test make sense?
For non-specific complaints, training changes, diets or frequent stress - preventive or to clarify the cause.
How does your analysis differ from standard tests?
We work in a targeted manner - not according to standard flat rates. Only relevant micronutrients are determined individually depending on the goal and symptoms.
What does the examination cost?
The analysis is a Private medical self-payer service according to GOÄ. The costs depend on the scope of the values - we will advise you transparently in advance.
Can I influence the values myself?
Yes - with nutrition, targeted supplementation and, if necessary, training. But the important thing is: values Do not treat blindlybut to control it in a well-founded manner.
What is the difference between ferritin and iron?
Ferritin shows the iron stores - it is more reliable than the iron value in the serum, which can fluctuate greatly.
Do I have to come to the blood test on an empty stomach?
Yes for many values - e.g. vitamin D, ferritin, glucose or B vitamins. We will inform you individually in advance.
How often should micronutrients be checked?
Depending on the situation, every 6-12 months, or more frequently if the values are abnormal. Follow-up checks are particularly important in the case of substitution.
Is the analysis covered by health insurance?
Private health insurance companies usually cover the costs in full. Statutory health insurance companies usually do not. You will receive a legally compliant GOÄ invoice.
